These hens are raised separately in their own flock on pasture. They are fed a NO corn, NO soy organic feed. They are always moving, always on fresh grass. Limited supply.
“Pasture raised” is used by many folks, but what does it mean?
Our egg laying chickens are one of our most labor intensive groups of animals but we think the taste makes it worth it! Here’s what pasture raised eggs means to us:
-Our hens live in moveable floorless coops with a large netting around to give ample space for them to roam
-Our hens are always on grass, no stationery buildings or cement involved!
-The floorless coops and netting are moved throughout the pasture. This fertilizes the pasture and gives the hens a healthy diverse diet as they are always foraging!
In summary, they are always moving and always on fresh grass which makes for healthy delicious eggs!
